Baptism is the church’s proclamation that we are who we are because God chose us, loves us, and calls us into his kingdom. In Baptism, we participate in Jesus’s death and resurrection by dying to what separates us from God and by being raised to newness of life in Christ. (Romans 6:4, Colossians 2:12, 1 Peter 3:21).

Who should be baptized?

People of all ages can be baptized at Damascus UMC and we recognize baptisms from other denominations. If you want to find out more, contact us through the form below to connect to one of our pastors.

How do I schedule a baptism?

There are multiple dates throughout the year in which baptisms are performed during worship services. Once we receive your baptism request, an Damascus UMC staff person or minister will be in touch with you to discuss baptism and upcoming baptism dates.
